Three silver-toned metal presentation salvers relating to mid-20th century equestrian competitions. The collection includes two circular salvers featuring gadrooned borders, each bearing the British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) crest. The first circular salver is engraved with the inscription The Leading Rider of the year, The Ovaltine Championship, 5th October 1966, A. Fielder on Vibart. The second circular salver is engraved with the BSJA crest and The Leading Rider of the year, 2nd October 1963, H. Smith. The third and larger salver features a shaped and scalloped rim with an engraved Prince of Wales feathers crest above the inscription The Royal International Horse Show, London 1967, Edward Prince of Wales, International Challenge Cup. The items are constructed from silver-toned metal with engraved decorative and commemorative elements.
Condition report:
The items exhibit surface tarnishing and light scratches across the faces and rims. There is general wear consistent with age and handling. Adhesive auction lot stickers are present on the surfaces.
