Lot 283: A Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 4600 Integrated Music System with a Pair of Beovox S25 Speakers
A vintage high-fidelity integrated music system manufactured by Bang & Olufsen of Denmark. The lot comprises a Beocenter 4600 main unit and a pair of matching Beovox S25 bookshelf speakers. The main unit incorporates a turntable, a cassette deck, and a radio tuner housed in a chassis of brushed aluminium and black plastic with a hinged, smoked acrylic dust cover. The radio tuner features a horizontal linear slide for frequency selection across FM, MW, and LW bands, complemented by slider controls for volume and recording levels. The unit is a solid-state electronic device. The accompanying Beovox S25 speakers are constructed with wood-veneered cabinets featuring silver-tone metal edging and black fabric grilles. The main unit is marked BEOCENTER 4600 on the upper left and BANG & OLUFSEN OF DENMARK on the upper right. The speaker grilles bear BEOVOX S 25 badges. Included with the lot is an original red Beocenter 4600 user manual and assorted cables stored beneath the dust cover. The unit is fitted with a standard UK three-pin mains plug.
Condition report:
The system is in fair to good cosmetic condition with signs of age and use. The smoked acrylic dust cover exhibits visible surface scuffs and light scratches. The speaker cabinets show minor wear to the wood veneer. The system is sold as untested for working order.
