Mid-Century Modern Style Glazed Ceramic Table Lamp with Fringed Fabric Shade
A mid-century modern style table lamp featuring a glazed ceramic base and a decorative fabric shade. The ceramic base is finished in a brown glaze with a relief pattern of concentric ovals, characteristic of mid-20th-century European pottery. The waisted, buff-coloured fabric shade is embellished with braided textile trim at the upper and lower margins and a tassel fringe along the bottom edge. The lamp is fitted with a white twin-core electrical cord. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
The ceramic base appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The fabric shade exhibits light foxing and spotting across the surface. The item is sold as an auction lot and is untested; it requires a professional PAT check before use. Two inventory stickers are present: an orange sticker numbered 28 on the shade and a white sticker numbered 15 15 on the base.
