Lot 277: European School (Late 19th/Early 20th Century), A Venetian Canal Scene, Watercolour
A watercolour on paper depicting a Venetian canal scene, executed in an impressionistic style with loose, atmospheric washes. The composition captures traditional architecture including a prominent campanile and terracotta-roofed buildings, with gondolas moored along a waterway and distinctive mooring posts in the foreground.
