Lot 245: A Group of Four Glazed Ceramic Figurines Attributed to Beswick Beatrix Potter
A group of four glazed ceramic figurines depicting anthropomorphic mouse characters, attributed to the Beatrix Potter series produced by British manufacturers such as Beswick or Royal Albert. The collection includes a figurine of Hunca Munca tending to several babies in a yellow wicker-style basket under a pink blanket; a mouse character, likely Mrs. Tittlemouse, in a white bonnet and red checked dress knitting with green yarn; a standing mouse character, likely Johnny Town-Mouse, wearing a red and white striped sweater and grey overalls; and a mouse character, possibly Appley Dapply, seated inside a white bowl with a blue rim. The figurines are crafted from glazed ceramic with polychrome decoration. No factory marks, model numbers, or decorator marks are visible on the front-facing surfaces, and the bases have not been inspected. An orange adhesive sticker with the handwritten digits 245 is present on the foreground figurine.
