Lot 239: A Chinese Blanc de Chine Porcelain Figure of Guanyin
A Chinese porcelain figure of a standing female deity, identified as Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, produced in the Blanc de Chine style of the Dehua kilns. The figure is modelled wearing voluminous robes with decorative borders and a high-collared garment. Her hands are joined at the front, and her hair is styled in a high bun adorned with an ornate headpiece. The piece is finished in a uniform white glaze. The figure is presented on a separate, dark-stained circular wooden base. An orange paper lot sticker numbered 239 is attached to the side of the porcelain base. No factory marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The figure is in good condition with no apparent chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is consistent throughout.
