Lot 188: A Collection of Vintage Military Toy Vehicles including Buddy L and Majorette
This lot comprises a collection of vintage military-themed toy vehicles of mixed manufacture. The primary item is a Buddy L transport truck, constructed from olive drab green pressed steel. This vehicle features a textured green plastic canopy, a plastic cab interior, and clear windows. Markings include a red and white Buddy L decal on the cab door and a white Transport decal with a circular five-pointed star on the side of the rear bed. The collection also includes a group of die-cast metal military vehicles. One jeep is marked on the underside as Majorette N. 222, ECH. 1/60, Made in France. The remaining vehicles in the group include an armoured main battle tank, several Willys-style jeeps, and various troop transport trucks, most finished in olive drab green with white star decals. Based on market consensus for these designs, several of the smaller vehicles are attributed to Tonka. Condition report:
The Buddy L truck shows signs of play wear, including paint chips and sticker residue on the cab roof. The decals are partially worn but remain legible. The die-cast vehicles are in generally fair to good condition, exhibiting various degrees of paint loss and surface wear consistent with age and play.
