The assortment includes a cylindrical balance with a brass body and iron suspension ring, featuring a graduated scale. A flat-bodied metal balance is finished in green paint and features a graduated scale along the upper edge. A smaller pocket-sized balance with a white and silver-toned finish bears the stamped inscription LITTLE SAMSON. The collection also contains a larger cylindrical balance with a black-painted finish and a substantial suspension hook. The instruments are primarily constructed from brass and iron.
Condition report:
The items are in used, unrestored condition. All pieces show signs of age-related wear, including significant surface oxidation, rust, and paint loss. The green-painted balance exhibits heavy pitting and corrosion. The mechanical function of the internal springs has not been tested. The items are sold as a lot, as seen.
