Lot 168: A Pair of Vintage Celestion Bookshelf Loudspeakers
A pair of passive bookshelf loudspeakers manufactured by Celestion. The cabinets are constructed from wood with a medium-toned veneer finish. Each unit features a fixed front grille covered in a dark, textured grey fabric. A small rectangular black badge with metallic lettering reading Celestion is visible on the front grille of one speaker. The design is consistent with mid-20th-century British high-fidelity components. No model numbers are visible on the front or side panels.
Condition report:
The cabinets show signs of age and previous use, including visible surface scratches and light scuffs on the top panels. One unit displays an area of veneer wear and lifting on the top-left corner. Several paper inventory and lot stickers are adhered to the wood surfaces. The grille cloth appears to be in generally good condition with no significant holes or snags visible. The items are sold as seen and are currently untested.
