An extensive bone china tea and dinner service attributed to Royal Albert in the Old Country Roses pattern. The decoration consists of transfer-printed clusters of multi-coloured roses in shades of deep red, pink, and yellow with green foliage. Each piece is formed with a scalloped or fluted edge and finished with heavy stippled gilding to the rims, handles, and feet. The collection comprises a tall lidded coffee pot, a lidded teapot, two large circular lidded tureens, a gravy boat with a fixed stand, a lidded two-handled sugar bowl, and a cream jug. Also included are a small baluster-form vase, a pair of low circular candlesticks, a small basket-handled dish, an oval tray with two matching open bowls, and two egg-shaped decorative items. The service is completed by several teacups, saucers, two-handled soup coupes, and a large quantity of plates in various sizes. Several items bear orange and white auction lot labels.
Condition report:
The service appears to be in generally good condition with no significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs. The stippled gilding appears mostly intact across the various items.
