A collection of three cased sets of flatware and serving pieces. The first set is a twelve-piece fish service for six, comprising six knives and six forks. The pieces feature cream-coloured composite handles with decorative metal ferrules and metal blades and tines. The knife blades bear marks which are not clearly legible. The second set consists of five butter knives featuring scrolled handles in a pistol-grip style. The metal is silver-coloured, likely silver-plated or stainless steel. No maker’s marks are visible. The third set is a three-piece serving set comprising a butter knife, a sugar shovel, and a jam or cream spoon. The handles are decorated in a shell-and-scroll pattern in the style of the Kings pattern. The pieces appear to be silver-plated. No clearly legible marks are present.
Condition report:
The fish service is housed in a red textured paper-covered case with a yellow moulded interior; the set is complete, though the case shows minor internal staining. The butter knife set is incomplete, with one knife missing from the six-slot case; it is housed in a black case with a white silk-lined lid and a dark blue velvet base, showing foxing and staining to the lid lining. The serving set is housed in a red textured case with a white satin interior and a red velvet securing strap and is in good overall condition. No monograms are present on any pieces.
