Lot 134: A Collection of Ceramic Tableware and Decorative Items including Royal Worcester Wrendale Designs
A collection of ceramic tableware and decorative items featuring pieces from the Royal Worcester Wrendale Designs The Country Set series. Included are two mugs and a small jug decorated with transfer-printed wildlife motifs including a pheasant and a rabbit on a speckled white ground. A bowl or large cup features a peach and green floral transfer-printed pattern and bears the backstamp The Country Set by Royal Worcester, Licensed by Wrendale Designs, Made in China. The lot also contains a pink mug with flamingo and floral patterns, a small white mug with nursery-rhyme illustrations, and a large red transfer-printed plate with a floral border in the Staffordshire style. Other components include a black glazed saucer, several cream-coloured plates with scalloped edges, a portion of a nursery-ware plate with blue and pink borders and text, a round lidded jar with a cream-speckled glaze and leaf motifs, a small white rectangular tray, and a curved white ceramic spoon rest.
Condition report:
The items are in good used condition with minor surface wear and stacking marks consistent with age and use. No major chips, cracks, or visible repairs are noted from a surface inspection.
