Lot 124: A Collection of Seven Lladró Porcelain Animal Figurines
A collection of seven polychrome glazed porcelain animal studies by Lladró, Spain. The group includes two rabbits, identified from the manufacturer catalogue as Rabbit Eating (Grey) model number 4773 and Rabbit Eating (Brown) model number 4772, both depicted resting in foliage with small flowers. The collection also features two squirrels, one holding a pale yellow flower and the other with a blue and white butterfly resting on its tail. Further pieces include a recumbent donkey, a sleeping cat with brown and white patches, and a perching songbird. Each piece is finished in the characteristic muted pastel palette associated with the manufacturer. The base of the rabbit figurine bears the blue printed Lladró mark with the bell-shaped symbol and the text Hand Made in Spain. It also features incised marks including E-3 J and an S within a rounded square border.
Condition report:
The figurines are in generally good condition. The delicate porcelain petals on the squirrel\'s flower and the wings of the butterfly appear to be intact. No significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs were observed on the ears, tails, or limbs of the animals. There is minor surface dirt and adhesive residue from previous labels present on the bases. Prospective bidders are advised to inspect delicate floral elements for minor losses common to these models.
