A set of decorative ceramic washware items featuring a white glaze and applied lavender-purple ornamentation. The collection includes a large pitcher with a scroll handle and scalloped rim, a wide circular washbowl with a matching scalloped rim, a smaller cylindrical vessel, and a circular lidded jar topped with a bow-form finial. Each piece is decorated with large, moulded ceramic bows in a lavender-purple glaze. The scalloped edges of the pitcher and basin, along with the rims of the other vessels, are finished with gilded trim. No maker marks or factory signatures are visible on the accessible surfaces of the items. The set is characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century ornamental housewares.
Condition report:
The set is in fair condition. There is evidence of surface grime and dark spotting, most notably within the interior of the washbowl, consistent with age and decorative use. No significant chips, cracks, or restorations are visible from the primary viewing angle.
