A trio of seal figurines comprising two smaller matching examples and one larger sculpture. The two smaller figures are fashioned from a grey textured material with white flecking, characteristic of soapstone or a stone-effect composite, and are depicted in a prone position. The third, larger figurine features a seal in a dark reddish-brown material with a polished finish, possibly carved stone or resin, mounted upon a grey base designed to resemble natural rock. These items are produced in the style of Inuit or Canadian wildlife carvings. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the surfaces of the pieces.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition. The two grey figurines exhibit minor surface abrasions and flecking consistent with the material. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are evident. All three pieces currently bear adhesive auction lot labels.
