A group lot comprising an oval wall mirror, two hand mirrors, and a selection of vintage postcards. The large oval wall mirror features a gilt-effect frame with a beaded inner border and a moulded outer rim. The larger hand mirror is constructed from a cream-toned celluloid or ivorine material, resembling ivory pyralin, with a tapered handle and a bevelled glass plate. The smaller hand mirror features a dark brown wood-grain effect finish, also in a synthetic material. The accompanying postcards include floral designs and British seaside themes, with text referencing Jersey and Torquay. These items are characteristic of British domestic vanity sets from the early to mid-20th century. No maker marks are visible on the mirror bodies or frames.
Condition report:
The large hand mirror shows minor surface scratching and light wear consistent with age. The smaller hand mirror plate exhibits significant clouding, surface smudging, and areas of foxing. The wall mirror plate appears in fair condition where visible. General wear and signs of use are present across the collection.
