Lot 589: A Collection of Vintage Boys' Brigade and The League of Ovaltineys Badges
A collection of mid-20th century silver-toned metal badges and pins, primarily associated with the Boys’ Brigade. The group includes various insignia featuring the BB initials and the traditional anchor-and-cross emblem. Notable designs include shields with red enamel crosses, palette-shaped achievement badges, a torch-themed pin, and a badge inscribed for National Service. Also included is a circular badge for The League of Ovaltineys featuring a central numeral 10. The items are mounted on a dark blue fabric backing.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits age-appropriate tarnish and minor surface wear to the metalwork. The enamel details remain largely intact and legible. The textile mount shows some lint and minor fraying at the edges.
