Lot 167: A Davenport Blue and White Transfer Printed Jug in the Tudor Mansions Pattern
A large Victorian ceramic pitcher featuring the Tudor Mansions pattern by Davenport. The vessel is constructed with a bulbous body, a wide flared spout, and an ornate moulded C-scroll handle. The exterior is decorated with blue transfer-printed designs including a pastoral landscape scene with classical architecture, floral sprays, and geometric foliate borders. A coordinating decorative border is applied to the interior rim.
Condition report:
The item is in fair condition. There is visible surface grime and light crazing throughout, consistent with age and use. An adhesive tag is present on the spout.
