Lot 166: A Collection of Decorative Porcelain and Metalware
A collection of assorted decorative and utility items including a tall metal pitcher, two porcelain creamers, and a small circular dish. The metal pitcher, constructed from brass or bronze, features a tapered body, a simple curved handle, and a flared spout. The porcelain components consist of two creamers: one with a green and white palette and floral motifs, and another with a scalloped rim and multi-coloured floral decoration, both featuring gilded accents. These pieces show characteristics consistent with Japanese hand-painted porcelain, such as Nippon or Kutani styles. The small circular dish is decorated with a yellow and purple floral design in cloisonne or enamel on a textured white ground with a gilded rim.
Condition report:
The items appear in overall good condition. The metal pitcher exhibits surface oxidation and a dull patina throughout. Minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilded accents on the porcelain and enamel pieces are visible, consistent with age and use.
