Lot 115: Two Arts and Crafts Style Oak Serving Trays
Two rectangular wooden serving trays with dark-stained finishes. The first tray is constructed from oak with a visible grain, featuring rounded corners, a raised gallery edge, and integral carved handles. The second tray features a decorative bobbin-turned gallery edge and is fitted with two metal handles at the shorter sides. Both items exhibit construction techniques and forms associated with the Arts and Crafts movement.
Condition report:
Both trays show signs of surface wear consistent with age and previous use. Visible scratches, marks, and areas of finish loss are present across the wood surfaces. The metal handles on the second tray exhibit oxidation and surface wear.
