Lot 348: A Group of Japanese Blue and White Reticulated Porcelain Cricket Cages
A group of Japanese blue and white reticulated porcelain cricket cages. Each vessel is of rectangular, box-like form raised on four corner feet, featuring recessed, reticulated lattice-work panels to the sides. The surrounding flat surfaces are decorated with underglaze blue floral and scrolling foliate motifs. The items are constructed from glazed porcelain and are currently wrapped in protective plastic film. Each piece bears an orange adhesive inventory tag with the handwritten number 348.
