Lot 347: Two Murano Glass Animal Figurines
Two Murano glass animal figurines, comprising a stylised cat and a multi-coloured bird. The cat figurine is composed of clear glass with an internal amber or gold-tone core and bears a foil label stating MADE IN ITALY Murano VENEZIA. The bird figurine is fashioned from solid glass with a colour gradient shifting from deep amber and orange at the head to a blue base and tail. Both pieces are executed in a sculptural style characteristic of Venetian glasswork.
