A large hand-blown art glass vessel featuring a tortoiseshell-style pattern. The piece is constructed with layers of mottled amber and deep brown glass, creating a rich, textured appearance through the body. It is of tapering cylindrical form with a slightly flared, polished rim and a high-gloss finish. The tortoiseshell effect was achieved by integrating or casing coloured glass frit during the blowing process. An orange rectangular adhesive label is present on the side, bearing the handwritten digits 2 and 9. A small white rectangular adhesive label is affixed near the upper rim, bearing the digit 8. No maker’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible.
