Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises an assortment of miscellaneous 19th and 20th-century decorative items. It includes a large, shallow porcelain or fine earthenware bowl with a lobed and scalloped rim, possibly by Spode or Copeland, featuring an extensive blue transfer-printed floral pattern, possibly clematis, with a dense scrolling geometric border and a gilt-highlighted rim. Also included is a porcelain teapot of globular form with a short spout and a bentwood bamboo overhead handle, decorated in an Oriental style with dragons and foliate motifs in iron-red enamel and a gilt rim. A small porcelain pedestal cream jug with a scrolling handle is decorated with floral sprays and a gilt-lined rim. The collection contains a porcelain baluster-shaped vase with a flared, scalloped rim, decorated in an Oriental taste with blue hand-painted bird and floral motifs accented with gold. There are two hand-modelled ceramic floral clusters featuring blossoms in various coloured glazes, characteristic of mid-20th-century English bone china factories such as Royal Adderley or Coalport. Glassware is represented by a small trumpet-shaped vase in light blue glass with a ruffled rim. Miscellaneous items include a small black lacquered box with painted floral decoration and a wooden expandable book rack.

Condition report:

The items are in generally fair condition commensurate with age and use. Visible surface wear is present on the gilding of the blue and white bowl. The delicate petals of the ceramic floral ornaments are prone to minor chipping, and close inspection is advised. No manufacturer marks were observed in the image. Various adhesive auction and stock labels are present on all items.
