An assortment of approximately twenty pieces of vintage and mid-20th-century cut and pressed glassware, likely of British or European origin. The collection comprises a variety of functional and decorative items, including a large square-bodied spirit decanter with a multi-faceted stopper, a round diamond-cut preserve or powder jar with a pointed finial, and a circular rose bowl featuring a wire mesh flower frog. Also included are a tall trumpet-shaped vase with floral and starburst cutting, a smaller cylindrical vase, a cut-glass table bell, and a small footed cream pitcher. The stemware includes multiple wine and water glasses featuring cut bowls and faceted or hexagonal stems. The items exhibit a range of traditional decorative techniques including deep diamond cutting, starburst motifs, wedge cuts, and fan patterns. The lot contains a mix of high-quality hand-cut lead crystal and pieces of pressed glass in a cut-glass style. While some items bear small white labels marked 15 and orange labels marked 268, no acid-etched signatures or manufacturer backstamps are visible.
Condition report:
The glassware generally appears clear without significant clouding. Notable brown residue spots are present on the lid of the round jar, which may be rust or dried matter. As is characteristic of cut glass of this age, minor flea-bite chips may be present on the sharp edges of the facets. All stoppers appear to be present where applicable.
