Lot 58: A Large Silver-Plated Rimmed Cut Glass Serving Bowl and Two Associated Serving Spoons
A large circular serving bowl crafted from clear cut glass. The body is decorated with deep vertical fluting to the exterior walls and a multi-faceted geometric starburst pattern to the underside of the base. The bowl is finished with a broad silver-plated rim featuring an embossed continuous band of floral and foliate scrollwork. The set includes two long-handled metal serving spoons with plain polished bowls and handles featuring a textured decorative border. A lot number sticker marked 11 is adhered to the interior base, and a small orange sticker is present on the rim. No maker’s marks or silver hallmarks are visible on the metalwork or glass.
Condition report:
The glass components appear to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or clouding. The silver-plated rim and spoons show moderate surface tarnish and light scratches consistent with age and regular domestic use.
