A large antique copper bowl or basin of circular form, featuring a hand-hammered or raised body with a reinforced rolled rim. The interior surface is finished with a tin lining. The vessel is fitted with cast metal handles, likely brass or bronze, which are secured to the body with rivets. The exterior exhibits a deep aged patina and visible hammer marks across the surface. No maker’s marks or manufacturer stamps are discernible on the piece. A small white adhesive inventory sticker with the handwritten number 5 is attached to the rim.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of significant age and historical utilitarian use. The exterior copper surface possesses a heavy aged patina with various surface scratches and minor indentations throughout. The interior tin lining is heavily worn, displaying characteristic mottling and darkening across the entire surface.
