A pair of vintage Porro prism binoculars produced under the Prinz brand name. The instrument is constructed with a metal body finished in a black textured synthetic pebble-grain covering. The left prism housing is printed with the maker mark Prinz in white, accompanied by two diagonal orange stripes. Two adhesive paper labels are present on the top surface: an orange sticker handwritten with the number 27 and a white sticker printed with the number 5. The binoculars are equipped with a central focusing wheel, an adjustable right-eye dioptre ring, and plastic eyepieces. A black neck strap is attached to the body.
Condition report:
The binoculars are in a heavily used condition showing significant signs of age. There is a substantial accumulation of surface dust, grit, and grime across the body and the external lens surfaces. The pebble-grain covering exhibits wear and some staining. No lens caps or carrying case are included. The mechanical function and optical alignment have not been tested.
