The collection includes a pair of theatre or opera glasses with brass fittings and worn black-finished barrels, featuring a central adjustment wheel. Also present is a light blue jasperware-style ceramic trinket box with a rectangular lid featuring a white relief-moulded classical cameo within a foliate wreath. The group contains a cobalt blue porcelain egg decorated with gilded highlights and a central transfer-printed cartouche depicting a romantic pastoral scene, supported on three cast metal feet. Additionally, the lot includes a stylised turquoise-glazed ceramic figure, a brown leather-effect pouch with metal-capped corners, and several glazed pottery figurines in earth-toned glazes. Condition report:
Items show varying degrees of age-related wear and surface soiling. The theatre glasses exhibit significant loss to the black finish on the barrels and surface oxidation to the brass components. The jasperware-style box and porcelain egg show minor surface grime and light wear to the gilded decoration. The pottery figurines and stylised ceramic piece show surface marks and minor abrasions consistent with age and handling. Most items bear temporary orange adhesive labels.
