Lot 17: An Assortment of Floral and Gilt Decorated Porcelain Table Wares in the Style of KPM Berlin
An assortment of porcelain table wares featuring hand-painted polychrome floral sprays and elaborate gilt decoration. The group is led by a lobed saucer and matching plates crafted from white porcelain with scalloped edges. These pieces are decorated with naturalistic sprays of garden flowers in the Manierblumen style, bordered by a heavy gilt-scalloped rim featuring relief-moulded foliate and feathered motifs, characteristic of nineteenth-century German porcelain patterns. The collection also includes several other assorted plates and saucers of varying designs, notably one plate with a bold yellow, black, and green patterned geometric border, and others with dense gilt-lace or acid-etched decoration on the rims. Temporary inventory stickers marked 17 and 2 are present on some pieces.
Condition report:
Based on visual inspection, the visible edges of the porcelain appear sound with no large chips or cracks. There is some minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilding consistent with age and domestic use. No significant restoration is visible. A full physical inspection is recommended for a complete assessment of every piece in the lot.
