A set of ceramic tableware comprising several small bowls and a larger shallow charger or underplate. Each piece features transfer-printed decoration of fruit clusters, depicting apricots or plums with green foliage, set against a white ground. This central design is bordered by a broad cobalt blue band. The items are finished with a distinctive relief-moulded, scalloped rim featuring a metallic gold-toned lustre. The style and decoration are characteristic of mid-20th-century British pottery, in the style of manufacturers such as E. Hughes and Co. No maker’s marks or backstamps are visible on the front of the pieces.
