Lot 207: Sir William Russell Flint (1880-1969), Province Caprice Signed Print
After Sir William Russell Flint (RA, PRWS, 1880-1969). A framed colour print, likely a lithograph or photogravure, titled Province Caprice. The scene depicts a group of women in a rustic, sunlit interior or covered courtyard, centered around a large stone basin or well, executed in the artist’s characteristic Impressionistic style. The work features a printed signature W. Russell Flint in the upper right corner. It is presented in a double mount and housed in a dark wood-effect frame with a gilt-finished inner slip. The reverse of the frame bears a lot sticker numbered 207 and a smaller retail label.

Condition report:
There is visible foxing and brown spotting across the upper portion of the paper and within the lighter areas of the composition. The paper shows overall toning and age-related discolouration. The mount is somewhat darkened at the edges. The frame has minor surface abrasions and scuffs consistent with age. Heavy reflections on the glass in the provided photograph partially obscure the lower portion of the image.
