Lot 839: Two Pendant Necklaces comprising a Ruby in Zoisite and a Dark Gemstone Example
A collection of two pendant necklaces. The first necklace features a silver-tone metal trace chain supporting a claw-set pendant. The pendant is set with a small faceted oval dark gemstone, likely a sapphire or spinel, positioned beneath a single small clear accent stone. The second necklace comprises a gold-tone metal rope-twist chain with a circular pendant. This pendant is set with an oval cabochon of ruby in zoisite, displaying characteristic mottled green and purplish-red colours. The stone is mounted within a multi-tiered bezel frame with a textured rope-work finish. No hallmarks or maker marks are visible on the chains or pendants of either item.
Condition report:
Both necklaces are in good pre-owned condition. There is minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the metalwork of both pieces consistent with use. The gemstones appear to be secure within their respective settings.
