A lot consisting of two vintage silver-toned brooches. The first item is a bar brooch in the Art Deco style, featuring a central bezel-set oval cabochon of hematite. The stone is set within geometric shoulders that incorporate a fan-like design with engraved vertical lines. The piece is constructed from silver-toned metal and features a horizontal pin to the reverse with a sliding safety catch. While small marks are present on the pin stem, they are not clearly legible. The second item is a circular openwork brooch. The design features an intricate central pierced motif, possibly representing a monogram or a specific emblem, surrounded by a notched cogwheel outer border with raised beads. This brooch is also composed of silver-toned metal and utilises a standard pin catch. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on this item.
Condition report:
The hematite bar brooch is in good vintage condition with light surface wear and minor tarnish. The circular openwork brooch exhibits significant tarnish and surface oxidation, however, the metalwork remains intact with no visible breaks or repairs.
