Lot 728: A Queen Anne Style Oak Lowboy Side Table
An oak side table or lowboy constructed in the Queen Anne style. The rectangular top features a thumb-moulded edge, positioned above three drawers arranged side-by-side. The central drawer is shallower and narrower than the two flanking drawers. Each drawer front is finished with cross-banded veneers and features brass batwing-style handles with central escutcheons. Below the drawers, the apron is shaped with a scalloped design incorporating three integral pendants. The unit is supported by four slender cabriole legs, with the front legs joined to the frame using visible wooden pegs, all terminating in pad feet. This piece is a 20th-century production in the 18th-century English tradition.

The table is in stable condition with signs of domestic use. There are visible surface scratches and minor indentations to the top. The legs show scuffs and wear consistent with age. The brass hardware is intact but shows some natural oxidation and tarnishing.
