This late 19th or early 20th-century wall-mounted shelf is constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish. The unit features two compartments separated by a central fixed vertical divider. The frame is ornately decorated with scrolled and foliate carvings to the outer edges, characteristic of the Country French or Louis XV style. It is designed for wall mounting, suitable for use as a small book rack or display unit. A prominent wood grain is visible through the finish. Modern auction lotting stickers are present on the lower right corner and front edge.
