A lot comprising two different contemporary ceramic table lamp bases. The first is of bulbous form with a plain dusky pink glaze. The second lamp is of ovoid ginger jar form, crafted from porcelain in an Oriental style. This base features panels depicting waterfowl and chrysanthemums surrounded by yellow foliate scrollwork and gilt-toned highlights, set against a blue and white diaper pattern ground. Both lamps are fitted with brass-toned metal bayonet cap (BC) lampholders with integrated push-bar switches. They are wired with white plastic-insulated electrical flex and standard UK three-pin plugs. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible on the ceramic bodies.
Condition report:
Both lamp bases are in good overall aesthetic condition. The ceramic and porcelain bodies show no visible chips, cracks, or signs of repair. There is minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the brass-toned metal fittings consistent with age and domestic use. Electrical components are sold as untested. It is strongly recommended that these items are inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician before being put into service.
