Lot 400: An Assortment of Decorative Objects and Metalware including a Terracotta Vessel, Ceramic Vases, and a Glass Cocktail Shaker
An assortment of decorative objects and household items featuring a large terracotta amphora-style vessel with a heavily encrusted and textured surface. The collection includes a glass Red Lion cocktail shaker printed with various drink recipes and fitted with silver-tone metal components. Ceramic pieces include a grey-glazed vase decorated with a black silhouetted tree motif and a buff-coloured saucer bearing a circular backstamp for Fosters Pottery, Redruth. The metalware section comprises a silver-tone goblet, a small ornate jug with a scrolled handle, a jigger, and a length of pierced decorative metalwork. Also included is a flat silver-tone metal component with a handwritten label reading ART DECO FRAME, a purple-handled utensil, and various miscellaneous metalware items.
Condition report:
The items in this collection exhibit varying degrees of surface wear consistent with age and use. The terracotta vessel shows significant surface encrustation and weathering. Metal items display tarnish, surface scratches, and minor oxidation throughout. The glass cocktail shaker shows light wear to the printed graphics and surface tarnish on the metal cap. Ceramic items appear generally sound with minor surface marks and shelf wear to the undersides.
