Buyer's Premium:

A collection of decorative items comprising framed prints, a mounted ceramic plaque, and a metal bowl. The collection includes a square topographical engraving titled PORKINGTON HALL, presented in a dark wood frame. Also present is a circular colour print depicting a young girl in rustic attire, housed in a gilt-wood frame with a fluted and beaded border. A circular ceramic plaque, possibly a pot lid, is mounted in a turned wooden frame; the central image depicts a man and woman in 18th-century costume, with the border inscribed IF EVER I PLANT IN THAT BOSOM A THORN. The group also features a silver-toned metal bowl with a wide, ornate border decorated with chased foliate and scroll motifs. Several items bear small white auction labels numbered 2.


Condition report:

The items show signs of age-appropriate wear consistent with their period. The gilt frame exhibits minor rubbing and surface losses to the finish. The wood frames show light surface scratches and scuffs. The silver-toned bowl displays tarnishing and minor surface wear. The prints show minor toning and discolouration consistent with age.
