A set of six white metal goblets, likely silver plated, each featuring a flared bell-shaped bowl supported by a stem with a central knop and a circular spreading foot. The bowls are decorated with hand-chased and engraved motifs depicting a bird with outspread wings, possibly a peacock, set within a field of scrolling foliage and floral patterns. The style of engraving is characteristic of mid-20th-century export metalwork from South Asia. No manufacturer marks or silver hallmarks are visible on the items. The set is presented in a rectangular case with a blue velvet-lined, fitted interior and a dark fabric-covered exterior.
Height: Approximately 10 – 12 cm.
Condition report:
The goblets are in good condition with some surface tarnishing and light scratches consistent with age and use. The presentation box shows some external wear, including scuffing to the corners and light staining to the interior lining.
