Lot 614: A Collection of Vintage and Contemporary Costume Jewellery Brooches in a Fabric Lined Case
An assortment of costume jewellery brooches featuring various naturalistic and ornamental designs. The lot includes a large red enamelled flower brooch, styled as a poinsettia, with textured gold-tone petal borders and a central cluster of yellow-tone glass rhinestones. Also present is an enamelled butterfly brooch with pink and white wings, accented by small pink rhinestones. Other notable pieces include a silver-tone floral or leaf spray brooch with textured surfaces and a sprig-style brooch featuring green enamelled leaves and red accents. The collection is comprised of various gold-tone and silver-tone base metal pieces, many incorporating cold enamel and faceted glass stones. The items are housed in a square, hinged jewellery box with a purple textured exterior and a magenta fabric-lined interior. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the pieces.

The collection is in good vintage condition overall. Individual pieces show minor surface wear to the gold-tone and silver-tone plating and small areas of wear to the enamel, consistent with age. Pin mechanisms and clasps appear to be in working order.
