Lot 352: An Edwardian Style Stained Hardwood Two-Tier Plant Stand
A two-tier plant stand or jardiniere stand constructed from a stained hardwood with a mahogany tone. The piece features a circular top with a moulded edge and a small diamond-shaped inlay at the centre. It is supported by three tall, slender, outswept legs of curved profile, resembling a swan-neck form, each decorated with incised leaf carvings to the upper section. A smaller circular lower shelf is inset between the legs for stability and additional display space. The legs terminate in simple flared feet.
Condition report:
The stand shows signs of age and use, including surface scratches and wear to the finish on the top and lower shelf. There are some minor nicks and abrasions to the legs and edges. The structure appears stable.
