Lot 265: An Assortment of Vintage Brassware and Souvenirs
A varied collection of vintage brass decorative items and household wares, primarily of British interest. The lot includes souvenir pieces such as an embossed pin dish commemorating the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway with a steam locomotive design, and a London souvenir dish depicting Tower Bridge. Also present are two cast brass imperial weights marked 1 LB and 8 OZ respectively. The grouping includes an engraved brass vase with floral decoration, a miniature brass windmill model, an Aladdin style lamp, a brass oiler with a plunger handle, and two small lidded brass canisters. These items are accompanied by a clear glass jar with a rusted iron lid and are all contained within a large circular white enamel-coated metal bowl.
Condition report:
The brass items show a varied natural patina with surface tarnish and oxidation commensurate with age. The enamel bowl and the iron lid of the glass jar exhibit significant surface rust and wear.
