A group lot of vintage copper and brass metalware, primarily comprising domestic and kitchen items. The collection includes a circular, ribbed copper hot water bottle. The screw cap is stamped with a circular mark reading British Make, Walax, and Made in England. The body of the bottle is stamped with registration number 349839 and script lettering for The Walax Water Bottle. Also present is a copper chestnut roaster or bed warmer with a perforated hinged lid and a long wrought iron handle. The lot further includes a nested set of three copper pans or ladles with long iron handles, a separate small copper pot with an iron handle, and the handles of several brass fireplace tools. A large grey metal pot, possibly zinc or aluminium, is also partially included. The copper vessels feature machine-pressed and hand-formed construction with handles secured by rivets.
Condition report:
The items exhibit a varied aged patina with significant tarnish and oxidation across most surfaces. Visible surface scratches, minor dents, and signs of heavy domestic use are present, consistent with age. Several items carry small orange lot stickers.
