Lot 73: An Assortment of Decorative Objects and Domestic Ware Including Glassware, Figurines, and Ceramics
A collection of varied household and ornamental items. The group includes a large conical fabric lampshade with a cream-coloured fringed trim and a partially visible red glass vessel. Featured glassware consists of a dark-toned decanter with silver-toned scrolled foliate decoration and a matching stopper, alongside a purple art glass paperweight with an internal floral motif. Metalware includes a three-part, trefoil-shaped silver-tone serving dish. Several figurines are present, notably two squirrels mounted on wooden plinths, a monochrome cetacean figurine resting on a white crocheted lace doily, and a blue-grey animal figure. The ceramic selection comprises a stack of varied plates with transfer-printed and gilded patterns, and multiple mugs, one of which displays a heraldic crest featuring blue and white wavy lines within a yellow border. Many items bear orange numbered lot stickers.
Condition report:
The items are in used, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and domestic use. The fabric lampshade shows some minor surface discolouration. Silver-tone surfaces on the serving dish exhibit light scratching and signs of oxidation. Ceramic pieces show varying degrees of wear to the gilded rims and transfer decorations. No significant chips or cracks are immediately visible on the glassware or ceramic components from visual inspection.
