Lot 637: An Antique Yellow Metal Open-Face Pocket Watch with Engraved Monogram
An unbranded antique open-face pocket watch featuring a white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers and an inner rail-track minute ring. The dial is set with slim blackened hands. This watch is of a sidewinder configuration, with the winding crown and suspension loop positioned at the nine o’clock hour marker relative to the dial. The yellow metal case is decorated on the reverse with an ornate, stylised interlaced monogram within a foliate cartouche. No manufacturer names, reference numbers, or hallmarks are visible on the exterior of the case or the dial. The movement is uninspected but likely manual wind.

Condition report:
The enamel dial exhibits a visible hairline crack extending from the centre arbor towards the seven and eight o\'clock positions. The yellow metal case shows general surface wear, light scratches, and minor tarnish consistent with age and use. The movement is untested and the working order is not guaranteed.
