March timed auction
A collection of 18 vintage die-cast model vehicles, primarily comprising examples in the style of Matchbox Models of Yesteryear and the Lledo Days Gone series. The models are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components including wheels, canopies, and trim. The assortment represents various early 20th-century motor cars, delivery vans, and a fire engine. Specific examples include a black and white delivery van bearing the Summerfield livery and a red fire engine with LCFB (London County Fire Brigade) markings. Other vehicles include a maroon saloon car with cream-coloured wheels, a green saloon car, and several Ford Model T-style commercial vans. The collection is housed in a bespoke three-compartment wooden collector’s case. One model is partially contained within a plain white cardboard mailing box featuring a printed label addressed to Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. The models are standard free-wheeling toys.
Condition report:
The vehicles appear to be in good, previously displayed condition. There is evidence of minor paint wear and surface dust commensurate with age. The models appear largely complete, including the plastic ladder on the fire engine. The wooden storage case shows light wear to the exterior and interior compartments.
