An upholstered storage ottoman or footstool of rectangular form, dating to the late 20th century. The piece is finished in a rust-coloured velvet or velour fabric with a deep-buttoned tufted lid. It features internal storage capacity, with the lid attached by a full-length metal piano hinge. The lower edge of the body is decorated with a continuous matching fringe border. The design reflects a Victorian-revival style common in mid-to-late 20th-century furniture. No manufacturer’s labels or stamps are visible. Present markings include an orange adhesive label with the numbers 4, 3, 3, a small white label with 5, 5, and a white string tag with the handwritten number 1, 8.
