A vintage Hohner Lilliput diatonic button accordion featuring a marbled brown pearloid celluloid finish over a wooden frame. The instrument is configured with two rows of treble buttons and an eight-button bass section. The bellows are constructed from multi-fold paper and fabric with metal-capped corners. The front casing bears the embossed maker mark HOHNER. The treble side features a perforated grille area through which the internal metal reeds are partially visible. A single leather strap remains attached to the frame.
Condition report:
The instrument is in as found condition with a heavy accumulation of dust and surface grime throughout, particularly within the grille and button areas. The bellows show visible wear, fraying, and ageing to the folds and edges. A lot sticker numbered 398 and remnants of a secondary adhesive label are present on the casing. The instrument is untested for airtightness, mechanical function, or tuning. Professional restoration is recommended. No case is present.
