Lot 388: A Collection of Vintage Wesco and Wesco-Style Trigger-Pump Oil Cans
This collection of vintage metal trigger-pump oilers includes examples by Wesco, a British manufacturer of industrial tools. One small unpainted metal oiler is marked WESCO and MADE IN ENGLAND on the pump mechanism. A second oiler, finished in orange-red paint, bears the WESCO mark on the side of the pump head. The collection also contains several additional orange-red painted oilers and a larger, horizontally-oriented can with a dark, oxidised finish and a circular side port. These items are designed in the style of Wesco workshop tools. While other marks may be present on the pump heads or bases, they are not clearly legible. All items are constructed from metal and were designed for industrial or automotive workshop use.
Condition report:
The items are in used, workshop condition, showing typical signs of age and service. There is visible surface oxidation and rust across the collection, with significant paint loss to the orange-red examples. The spout on the smallest Wesco-marked oiler is slightly bent. The pump mechanisms appear intact, but internal seals and working status are untested. The lot is sold as seen.
